Title: Embedded Operating System Developer

Location: IL

Duration: 12 mths

 

We are seeking an Embedded Operating System Developer/Architect with broad experience in

real-time embedded operating systems, including Windows CE, Linux, and QNX.  This engineer will design and develop all the major low-level components for a display or information management product, including the BSP and its components (device drivers, OAL, boot loader, etc.). 

 

The right candidate will be responsible for analyzing and defining software architecture from customer requirements. He will also perform development and integration on custom or standard development boards. As a developer/architect, he must have strong design skills and ideally have experience of a structured methodology.

 

Minimum Requirements:

-          4 Year Degree (BSEE, BSCE or BSCS), with a specialization in embedded operating systems.

-          Minimum 2-4 years of industry programming experience with Windows CE, Linux, and/or QNX embedded development, especially related to low-level device drivers and Board Support Package development

-          Excellent communication skills. Be able to work equally well in a team environment or independently.

 

Desired:

-          Microprocessor development environments and debugging techniques

-          Writing low level device drivers, kernel or bootloaders

-          Proficient in C/C++ programming

-          Create test plans to design specifications

-          Analysis, design and implementation of Windows based applications

-          Programming experience with ARM processors with Windows CE is a plus

-          .NET Experience a Plus
