Job Description :

Reporting to the Director Financial Systems, the PeopleSoft Developer is directly accountable/responsible for successful delivery of PeopleSoft Financial technology solutions. The Technical Developer provides hands-on technical and understands business challenges & translates them into process/technical solutions. Experience with 9.x implementations and global roll-outs.

The Technical Developer has responsibility over technical solution design, development, deployment/cutover, legacy conversion and implementations - covering all technical aspects of the PeopleSoft implementation lifecycle. The Technical Developer has hands-on experience with PeopleTools 8.50, Application Designer, Component Interface, Application Engine, SQR, SQL, Integration Broker, PS Query, and other integration technologies. The Technical Developer also had deep knowledge of the PeopleSoft Financial modules AP, AR, BI, ePro and GL application fundamentals.

The successful individual will leverage their knowledge and experience to:

· Code, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex programs. Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.

· Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs.

· Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.

· Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.

· Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provide technical advice on complex programming.

· Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.

· Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.

· Play a key role during small to medium projects.

The accomplished individual will possess:

· The person must also be able to work with the business users and client management in applying functional knowledge within those same modules.

· Ideally the person has some knowledge of multicurrency and international operations of the packages.

· Needs to have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to handle the onsite/offshore model of a team structure.

· Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Multiply full Life Cycles of upgrades and legacy conversions

· Organized & energetic

The ideal candidate should have:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred.

Job Purpose

Develop the 3D data visualization tools, User Interface, and technologies that are used for high-end strength assessment of large ships. Work to create functional and efficient application interfaces, build and release processes, and collaborate to produce effective documentation. Participate in design discussions, development and deployment in large-scale state-of-the-art computing facilities across the world with geographically dispersed developer team and user base.

Key Tasks

The role will require you to work with highly-qualified researchers and software engineers to gather requirements, perform analysis, scope, plan, design, code, implement automated unit testing and deploy scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant modules and libraries. You are expected to have a thorough understanding of technical concepts required for software engineering and deployment and should be able to navigate and quickly understand complex code and systems. The position demands excellent analytical and problem solving skills and applicants must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. You should be a person with great technical passion, terrific problem-solving skills, drive for results and ability to work independently.

Key Targets and Measures

The candidate must be able to work as part of a team of technical professionals yet be self-motivated and pro-active in accomplishing technical goals. While there are no on-call requirements for this position, business needs may occasionally require that the candidate work after hours or on weekends.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience with MSC/PATRAN and PATRAN Command Language (PCL) programming.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or another technical-related field.

• Demonstrated experience with code management systems for software revision control.

• Proven experience with software life cycle: especially development/validation/testing preferred.

• Proven experience with graphics display building tools and User Interface Design (GUI).

• Working knowledge of MSC/Nastran, finite element modeling/analysis.
