Functional Title: Senior Data Analyst

Job Description:

 

Work to be performed:

 

•        Create and maintain advanced queries/procedures in order to conduct regular audits on member databases as well as any data sources that fuel the Data Warehouse, segmentation or   impact online marketing efforts, ensuring member profiles are accurately portrayed throughout.

•        Create and present dashboard reports that monitor file health and identify abnormalities

•        Identify, Analyze and interpret trends, patterns in complex data sets

•        Monitor output of customer consolidations to ensure proper handling.

•        Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data

•        Perform special ad-hoc analyses on member file, history etc. as needed

•        Create accounts that simulate and validate segments and ensure each are receiving appropriate efforts, cadence, experience.

•        Test, simulate and evaluate each respective opt-out and suppression method, including breaking the link/spam re-opts within current corporate PCH best practices in place by Compliance team.

•        Work with data team, Data analyst and Email Service provider to ensure data flow to third party vendor is timely and accurate.

•        Responsible for supporting customer service inquiries and researching specific requests via database SQL queries.

•        Investigate online reporting anomalies as needed

•        Work with Cognos reporting team to enhance and automate Key back end reporting

•        Help Data analyst review daily file counts and monitor database health

 

Other Knowledge Requirements:

 

•        Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development.

•        Expert skills in advanced SQL database queries, building views/procedures against SQL Server 2005/2008 BI stack. 

•        Experience with Microsoft SQL database and related tools, or other statistical packages is desirable for analyzing large datasets

•        Expert and Report Writing

•        Expert at  Excel Pivot Reports Development

•        Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner

•        Must be able to work independently without direct supervision or encouragement
