"The Database Administrator will apply technical expertise / capabilities to perform database management (including evaluation, systems analysis, and design of complex applications; Analyze customer needs, including participating in strategic planning, and ensuring solutions adopted are appropriate to meet objectives; Design and implement complex database environments and develop creative solutions to meet database performance and other objectives; Validate database architecture; Develop technical standards and review the environment to ensure compliance with standards; Design and implement application solutions that optimize database systems performance, availability, and capacity; Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation to record results, including ad-hoc audit requests; Prepare and deliver client presentations and briefings, as required.
Required Skills - in order of importance with years of experience needed
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, and Management or related field.
7+ Years experience database design, analysis, and programming on SQL Server databases
7+ Years experience in performing database administration and analysis such as in the SQL Server 2005/2008(or higher) environment
Proficiency with database tasks and concepts including back up, recovery, patching, upgrade, disaster recovery, high availability, database monitoring and performance tuning.
Knowledge of and experience applying Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework
Application development experience using database schema, table and index, stored procedures etc..
Strong, organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills
