Location           : Atlanta, GA 30339

Qualifications

·         Hands on experience in database administration & troubleshooting for My SQL databases (ver 5.0.x)

·         Hands on experience in DBA for MS SQL Server databases (version 7, 2005, 2008) and SQL Server cluster.

·         Performance tuning – MySQL & MS SQL Server

·         Backup & recovery (TSM) for My SQL & MS SQL Server DBs

·         Installation, patching of MySQL as well as SQL Server databases

·         Hands on in Unix (Linux) - for MySQL

·         Hands on in Windows servers – for MS SQL server

·         Worked in 24X7 production support

·         ITIL awareness

Job Duties

·         Troubleshooting for day to day issues in My SQL and MS SQL Server production/non-prod environment

·         Installation and patching for My SQL on Linux & MS SQL Server on Windows

·         Taking backup and recovery/cloning of database. Creation of new databases

·         Performance tuning for the databases. Security management at database level.

·         Space management for databases. Monitoring of database health and remediating it ontime.

·         Patch management for databases. 24X7 production support (oncall / shifts – as required)

·         Working in onsite-offshore team structure
