·         Provide standard, well-structures work planning which defines scope, resources, commitments, quality, risks, and acceptance criteria.

·         Ensure that overall application designs remain within project scope.

·         Work with customer business units to understand their business processes.

·         Work with developers to identify direction of software.

·         Ensure business requirements are supported by the design.

·         Analyse, define, and document how the applications will support functional and business requirements.

·         Coordinate these efforts with project managers, developers and junior functional architects .

·         Understand supporting/interfacing system applications.

·         Approve the determined need for new software/hardware.

·         Communicate and resolve application interface issues with other Lead Developers and junior functional architects as needed.

·         Monitor and measure maintenance and development process effectiveness.

·         Communicate clearly the program/application goals, operational and organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures to the junior functional architects

·         Communicate to junior functional architects their relationships between their work and assignments and the organizational and/or program objectives.

 

Skills:

·         Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

·         Oracle and Procedural Language

·         MS SQL and Procedural Language

·         Data Modeling Tools

·         erWIN data modeling tool

·         Prior work experience with DHS

·         Knowledge of State and DHS policy
