Business Analyst

1. Need a business analyst with project management experience. Ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of IT experience with at least 5-7 years in the P&C industry. Prior work experience on Policy systems, Agency platform is preferable
2. Candidate should be proficient in Business Analysis skills and able to play the role of a domain expert
3. Should be self starter, driven individual with ability to take ownership for tasks and see them through completion
4. Experience in managing project teams (business analysts, development teams) to achieve project objectives
5. Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. Ability to work in matrixed organization including with co-located and offshore vendor teams
6. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
7. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Utilize experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
8. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
9. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs, functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs. Provide status reports to project stakeholders
10. Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
11. Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
13. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
