Project: This is phase two of the SharePoint 2013 implementation. This is a new initiative from a recent SharePoint 2010 rollout by TCS that did not go very well ( they identified coding that did not use best standards. Looked good but didn’t work ). The new project will starting from scratch but trying to use some of the current 2010 versions. They will be working closely with the team’s business analyst and architects. Must be a good team player and work with little ramp up time.
Expectation: Candidate must be very fluent in SharePoint 2013. Must understand and work with out of the box functionality ( custom code will be minimal ). The role will be 90% configuration and maybe 10% coding. The candidate must know and understand configuration inside and out. The expectation is for someone who will be able to think like a system administrator. Strong UX background working with templates, pages, menu items, flow charts and artifact documents needed. Experience with Rational, C#, .NET, Agile, RAD and Microsoft Office Store would be a huge bonus
Job Summary:
We are looking for a self-driven, experienced senior SharePoint UX / Web designer that will be responsible for the configuration, conversion and implementation of our Corporate Intranet / Extranet SharePoint 2013 solution.
Using design tools such as SharePoint Designer, Illustrator and Photoshop, you will complete advanced SP2013 configurations based on MS SP2013 “out of box” functionality requirements. In some cases, will create and/or convert existing assets to be used for SharePoint 2013 web sites through custom coding through the use of HTML5, CSS3, j-Query and JavaScript, you’ll bring your skills to bear to provide prototypes and to implement SP2013 portal frontends according to existing SharePoint 2010 visual specs and ensure a high quality user experience.
As a part of this team you will be integral to the SP configuration & development process. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple deliverables to meet project target dates. The ideal candidate possesses experience working closely with the Program Manager and Project Team and can easily insert herself/himself into the development process to deliver high quality, best practices, industry standard UX results.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Convert layout and format of existing SP2010 structure to SP2013 environment
· Build conversion strategy and deployment documentation
· Execute conversion to Development and Test environments
· Designing SharePoint solutions, site taxonomy, UX, and record storage
· Building and implementing custom UI designs for SharePoint with Adobe Photoshop,
· ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and C#
· Creating / modifying SharePoint site collections with multiple sites, unique navigational elements, custom content types and site columns, site pages, web part pages, workflows, retention policies, and governance policies
· Building forms with ASP.NET and InfoPath and SharePoint application pages
· Implementing document and record center repositories
· Integrating designs with third party SharePoint
· Documenting solutions with Microsoft Office
· Superior attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure
· Manage testing and break fix cycles with IT Project team.

Skills & Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Strong experience in SharePoint frontend configurations
· 3+ years of experience in web design and development
· 3+ years of experience using industry standard Web design tools
· 2+ years of experience developing solutions with SharePoint 2010/2013
· 2+ years of experience working with SharePoint Designer 2010/2013
· Must have experience with SharePoint development and branding
· Strong knowledge of InfoPath
· Strong knowledge of Visual Studio
· Knowledge of software design patterns MVC, OOP, SOA, and data structures
· Proficient using j-Query, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
· Some experience with SQL Server and relational databases
· Understanding of Software Development, Change and Release methodologies
· Project oriented and focused on meeting tight deadlines
