Project Manager – Payroll

The Project Manager shall work collaboratively with the project stakeholder group and the current assigned IT Project Manager to verify the business processes, requirements and specifications, re-write procurements as necessary, provide project management services for the project and assist in monitoring project progress.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
a. Preparing scope and requirements documents
b. Working collaboratively with State staff (contractors and State employees)
c. Prepare business processes, functional and non-functional requirements and associated procurement re-writes to secure the appropriate vendor for COTS and/or SaaS solution,
d. Creating and regularly updating project schedules, staff task work plans, issues list, risk lists, and other documents required for management and governance of information technology projects,
e. Maintain standard project management SDLC waterfall documentation using the requirement templates
f. Communicate effectively with stakeholder, explaining the SDLC waterfall methodology in a way that non-IT Project Management type individuals can understand,
g. Manage the entire project success and assure the successful attainment of each and every goal set out at the onset of the project,
h. Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
General Experience:
· At least five (5) years of experience in project management.
· PMI certification as a PMP.
Specialized Experience:
· At least five (5) years of experience in managing IT related projects.
· Must demonstrate a leadership role in at least three successful projects that were delivered on time and on budget.
AND at least two (2) years of experience with planning a COTS and/or SaaS financial system from a legacy system, preferable Payroll related.
