JOB DESCRIPTION:

7+ years of experience in DBA activities.  Some of those years SHOULD be with ParAccel /Netezza

Full understanding of ParAccel architecture 

Mastery in ParAccel optimizations techniques 

 

Skill sets include but are not limited to: 

1) Install, configure and upgrade ParAccel cluster

2) Setup and implement ParAccel cluster production backup and disaster recovery

3) Setup and implement maintenance & monitoring including performance monitoring & troubleshooting

4) Scripting for the database admin jobs and maintenance

5) Optimized projections for improved performance of queries & Review queries with DEV team.

 

General

Experienced with data warehousing concepts and techniques including extensive knowledge and use of star/snowflake schema 

Proficient in ETL. Must be able to construct and troubleshoot very complex queries
