Client is looking for independent thinkers and people with initiatives. Object Oriented Design and Development is very important. Sun Certification on Java would be a huge preference/plus and if someone has written a complicated code on their own (NOT CLIENT CODE), manager would be willing to see a part of that like the most complicated class or object they coded. 
Key Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining Risk applications
·         Engage with key stake holders, internal and external, to understand user requirements
·         Work with other development team members to implement designed solutions
·         Take ownership and accountability for the deliverables in all phases of the development lifecycle
·         Proactively participate in platform design and review activities
·         
Job Skills / Qualifications:
Required Skills:
·         4+ years of overall development / technical expertise
·         3+ years hands-on experience with Core Java Technologies 
·         Hands-on knowledge of test-driven development 
·         Understanding and experience in Object-Oriented Design Principles
·         Strong Analytical and communication skills
·         Hands-on experience in Relational Databases like Sybase, Oracle
·         Hands-on experience in performance tuning
·         Plus: Domain Driven Design
