Network Administrator - Austin, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Extensive experience and knowledge and skill with installation, configuring and supporting an organization’s SCCM 2007 (Microsoft System Control Management) windows environment. Experience maintaining connectivity for all workstations within the Agency. Experience creating, deploying and monitoring all monthly Microsoft Security patches out to all workstations within the environment to ensure network security.

· Experience coordinating the development and implementation of all pushes necessary through SCCM to the local area network or wide area network. Experience maintaining SCCM support software, analyzes user support statistics, and recommending appropriate measures.

· Experience installing, testing and maintaining SCCM hardware and software. Experience preparing and analyzing statistics on Security patching results and availability.

· Experience communicating with users, management and other Windows Administrator staff. Experience as a contact for remote network locations to obtain clarification of problems and to identify solutions or corrective actions. Experience assisting in maintaining the Agency workstation environment.

· Experience assisting in maintaining the Windows logical structures and in installing and testing hardware and software. Experience assisting in performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of the SCCM tool. Experience assisting in maintaining the operating system and security software utilized on the network. Experience in deploying software to local and wide area network.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Serves as the solution architect / application architect, lead technical resource to provide technical leadership for strategic portfolio initiatives to ensure proper architectural alignment.

• Develops and reviews applications designs and technical approaches to ensure systems and processes align with IT strategy.

· Provides guidance as a subject matter expert on application and integration architecture to support the development of complex systems.

Skills:

· Leads complex technical project reviews to assess deliverables.

· Evaluates requirements to perform impact analyses and to specify effective business processes.

· Identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches to ensure optimal performance and to meet business needs.

· Information modeling, data structures, master data management, data quality management, information governance, data warehousing.

Solid knowledge of enterprise frameworks such and methodologies such as TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner or FEAF

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science or related field.

· Performs Senior to Mid-Level Application packaging to be used to rollout software to Windows Computers

· Will be using packaging tool to perform this duty

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Experience

Experience providing technical assistance and support for packaging applications for Windows 7 machines. This position will be responsible for packaging, testing and rollout of desktop applications to workstations that are being upgraded from XP to Windows 7.

Experience with Wise packaging tool.

Experience formulating logical descriptions of problems and devise optimum packaging solutions.

Experience analyzing systems and procedures to write and revise standards and procedures, to communicate effectively, and to train others.
